Changes in the Montreal team

These last months, numerous changes have been made in the CESO Montreal team. New people have joined, while others have retired or have left to pursue other projects. This first issue of The Lantern is the ideal occasion to present them to you, hereby allowing you to put a face to the voices you hear and the messages you receive.
Departures and arrivals:
The position of Manager, Support to SME-Youth, was occupied, from December to May, by Amina Chahin who replaced Feyzah Abdelmoumen. The position is now occupied, since June 4th, by Chiara Marcazzan. Nadine Gaudreau, the Program Coordinator, has done an excellent job holding the fort as the program is doing very well, regardless of all these changes.
Since January, Ariane Chenard is Program Coordinator of National Services, Quebec Region, replacing Claudette Besner, who has retired. Claudette nonetheless remains a regular volunteer at the Montreal office.
At the International Services level, Claude Roy has retired, but Lysiane van der Knaap and Deborah Samdup have joined the team. Lysiane is the International Coordinator for Africa and Haiti, and Deborah is the Bilingual Evaluator.
Finally, Louise Lafrance occupies the position of Office Assistant, which has been vacant for 9 months.
Those remaining:
The rest of the team is made up of Joanna Dupras, Regional Manager - Quebec; Apollinaire Ihaza, Contract Director - Africa; Carole Martin, Director of Business Development and Haiti; Rachel Daigneault, Intermediate Accountant/Volunteer Services Assistant and Fanny Hébert, International Coordinator for Africa.
The in-house volunteers:
It is not, however, certain that the first voice you hear is that of an employee. Volunteers help us everyday, in anything from recruitment to orientation, or simply by giving us a hand with regular tasks around the office. We are very thankful to them!
